Medical note – Zecora was diagnosed with Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), a mutation caused by the feline coronavirus which most cats carry. She was treated for the disease and at the end of the course of treatment blood tests confirmed that she was clear of the disease.
Zecora came into care with her 3 siblings as part of our last litter program and has been patiently waiting for her forever home. She has gorgeous markings, with black zebra-like stripes across her back, hence her name.
While she doesn’t love being picked up or carried around for long periods of time, she loves pats and will quite happily will climb onto your lap or next to you on the lounge for pats or a sleep. She loves playing with toys and likes to play ‘fetch’ with some of them, doing several loops of dropping the toy next to you so you can throw it again. She is a clever and determined cat and often drags her toy wands around out of the view of her siblings so she can play with them herself. Wrestling and chasing her siblings is one of her favourite things to do although they can get a little rough so she is then quite happy to escape to a quiet spot on her own.
When she wants something she will give a serious stare and let out a cute little squark so you know she is talking to you. Zecora is the perfect mix of affection, independence and entertainment.
