Medical note: Sunny had an eye ulcer caused by cat flu. There is a possibility that an ulcer could reoccur during a flu flare up when stressed, which may require a course of antivirals and eye drops to manage. The vet also noticed he had a very small incipient cataract in his right eye, which doesn’t require treatment yet, but will need a recheck in a year (September 2025)
About:
Meet Sunny, with a bright and friendly personality to match his name!
His gorgeous amber eyes will zero in on you as he searches for his snuggles, but he doesn’t rely on his ‘kitten cat’ eyes to melt your heart, he’ll go straight for the head butt and snuggle in.
Hard to believe, but Sunny was once a shy mummy’s boy, until one day he realised people could also provide him with cuddles and attention – he quickly decided this was the best thing ever. He’s an awesome ‘puppy cat’ and knows his name and will come trotting up when called and give you a little trill as if to say ‘i heard my name?!’
He loves to bounce and run around playing and wrestling with his friends, and is known in his foster home for his “speedy boy” moments – the zoomies he usually gets around meal times where he will dart in and out of the room, sometimes with the cutest sound effect.
He’s not quite as needy as he was as a baby, but once he settles down he still loves his cuddles and kisses, and reassurance he’s mama’s bestest boy, right? He’ll even use his little voice to call out when he needs you and comes running when you call him.
Sunny loves to lay on the lounge with you, or just about as good as the “large cat beds” his foster home has. He doesn’t believe the humans or the canine when they try to explain it’s supposedly a large dog bed… ha! It’s perfectly sized for Sunny to stretch out, and upside down, on. Which is a very frequent way to find him anywhere really, he’ll stretch out in the hallway lying belly up just cause he can, hips splayed and the picture perfect definition of a relaxed good boy.
Sunny gets along great with all the other cats in his household, he loves to play chasey and wrestle with his friends and would like to snuggle with them if they’d let him. But he’s also polite and good at leaving alone the grumpy one/s. He’s happily living with a large dog, though the dog would say he’s a bed hog.
Sunny would love his very own family and would bring some warm cuddly sunshine into his new home.
