Chloe – Female Ragdoll
Adoption Profile:
Medical note: Chloe has idiopathic hypercalcemia. This means that Chloe has elevated calcium levels in her blood, she has had a complete work-up of tests and no cause can be found. Idiopathic hypercalcaemia is the most common cause of hypercalcaemia in cats. Chloe’s condition is currently managed through her diet. Ongoing she requires 6 monthly monitoring of her ionised calcium levels in her blood (next due end of September 2025) and a strict diet. Chloe must eat Hills C/D wet food as this diet has controlled calcium levels. Chloe still has some reduced menace response in her right eye – no obvious retinal changes though and her other vision checks are good. She may have some slightly reduced vision in the right eye that is permanent but does not affect her quality of life, nor need any treatment. Her carer also has not noted any visual deficits at home which is great. Veterinary Partners handout on hypercalcaemia

About:
This senior lady is a real sweetie and loves pats and will sometimes allow herself to be picked up.
If she doesn’t want to be she growls and tries to appear fierce and grumpy to but never scratches or bites. She stops growling once she is being cuddled.
Mia is a senior lady and does not really play but is happy looking out her window or snoozing on her desk by the window. She will come to you to be patted and then purrs happily while being patted.
