About:

Leela came into care when Best Friends Felines answered a call for help from a local vet clinic.

She was found by a good samaritan living rough and in desperate need of medical care due for an existing injury to her right eye. After having major surgery to remove her damaged eye, the vet clinic staff named this little tortie girl Leela after the main character in the animated series, Futurama.

Leela has settled in to her foster home brilliantly and has fully embraced the lifestyle of a pampered house cat!

Within 24 hours, she was making biscuits and kneading blankets, purring up a storm and seeking out pats and affection on her terms from her foster carer and other family members.

This girl LOVES her food and will come running when she hears the sound of a can opener, the fridge door opening or the rattle of fresh kibble into her bowl. She likes to “help” in the kitchen and watch her humans prepare their dinner before chirping sweetly asking for her own dinner to be served.

Toys are a must for Leela, she happily chases and plays with all manner of cat toys, but toys with catnip are her favourite!

She enjoys the multiple scratching posts in her foster home and can often be found roaming the house seeking out her favourite, a small post with a dangling toy.

When playtime is over, Leela will settle in on the lounge, or bed for a snooze knowing she is safe and sound and will never have to sleep rough again.

She loves to be near her humans and included in all the goings on in the household – helping with the laundry and the dishes and even escorting her humans to the bathroom!

Could you be Leela’s her purr-fect forever home?
