About:

Billy is a sweet senior boy who came into BFF care after the passing of his previous owner.

He is very polite and will only jump up on a bed or couch if explicitly encouraged to do so. Billy is not a lap cat but he will enthusiastically flop at your feet for belly rubs.

A quiet companion, he hardly makes a sound even when waiting to be fed or when watching birds, which is his second favourite activity after sleeping.

He is not too old to play and interested in toys. Even when playing he maintains his gentle nature and has never taken even an accidental swipe at his foster carer.

Billy arrived into care with some dental hygiene issues which have been solved with the help of BFF’s veterinary partners, though regular checks should be performed to ensure he remains in tiptop shape well into the future.

He’s ready to find a quiet and calm spot to see out his senior years.

Cecelia – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Cecilia
DOB: 03/10/2015
Gender: Female
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Adoption Fee: $165
Location: Bonogin
Snuggle scope: Enjoys a nice pat
Cat scope: Ok with correct introductions
Dog scope: Tolerates the boisterous puppy in her foster home as long as she is respectful
Child scope: Untested
Medical note. Cecilia has diabetes and requires insulin injections two times a day, she will need this for the rest of her life.

About:

Cecilia is a beautiful 9 year old girl that was surrendered to us after being diagnosed with diabetes.

Her diabetes is now stabilised, and she needs insulin via injection 2 times per day (12 hours apart). This might sound off putting, but CC is so sweet and placid, and sits nicely while you inject her, and she doesn’t even flinch (and the needle is really small so super easy).

She is currently living in a multi cat household. When she first arrived she hid most of the day for several weeks while she adjusted, but now she is happily out in the open joying laying in sunny spots around the house.

She is fine with other cats, but prefers it if they give her her own space.

She’s a sweet girl that likes to bury into snuggly blankets to feel cosy and secure.

She’s a friendly girl that enjoys a nice pat, and when you are patting her, she raises her butt in the air so she can get a good scratch at the base of her tail.

About:

Marley and you?

This little lady, like her musical namesake is one pretty cool cat. She loves spending her days chilling out, looking out windows, watching the world go by.

She likes meeting new people and sidles up quickly for one of her favourite things in the world, a head scratch. In the evenings her favourite spots are by her human on the lounge or curled up at the end of the bed. Marley hasn’t shown much interest in laps, but with summer coming, who needs a lap warmer anyway. She does though love being nearby and will reward you with the sweetest little meow, or a lovely loud purr.

Marley is learning the wonders of play and has quite a workout chasing toys on sticks. She’ll often roll over to show her beautiful belly, but don’t fall into the trap of thinking she wants a belly rub, it’s her favourite game, grabbing any unsuspecting hand (gently of course).

Marley is an undemanding, sweet, relaxed girl who is responding very well to care. She will no doubt continue to blossom when she finds her forever people to show her the love that was missing from her last home.

About:

Meet Ollie & Luna 🐾

Ollie and Luna are a beautiful bonded sibling pair looking for a loving home together. At 7 years old, they may be mature cats, but they are still full of life, love, and plenty of personality!

These two adore a cozy sleep-in, often snuggled up on or beside you in bed, making biscuits and purring louder than your partner’s snoring. Their affectionate nature makes them the perfect cuddle companions. These two are truly bonded, so must be adopted together.

Ollie is the quieter of the pair and can be a little shy when meeting new people. However, with a little patience, some gentle pats, and a fun play session, he quickly comes out of his shell and becomes a loving, devoted companion.

Luna is the social butterfly. Curious and confident, she loves climbing to the top of her cat tree to watch the world go by through the window and is always interested in what you’re doing.

Both Ollie and Luna are incredibly affectionate and have lived happily alongside other animals, making them a wonderful addition to a multi-pet household. Their bond is truly special, and they are looking for a family who will welcome them both into their hearts and home.

If you’re looking for double the love, double the purrs, and double the cuddles, Ollie and Luna could be your perfect match. They promise to fill your days with gentle head boops, warm snuggles, and the sweetest soundtrack of happy purrs. All they need now is a forever home where they can curl up beside you and live happily ever after—together.

Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Adoption Fee: $165

About

Ripley’s life was harsh before being rescued.

She was part of a colony on a farm with horrible conditions, lacking care and regular food and shelter.

Ripley has raised an unknown number of kittens. Amazingly she is still a sweet and trusting cat.

Now safe in care she is a lap, chair and bed offsider.

She loves companionship, gentle pats, scratches and a sunny spot to nap in.

She is good with other cats but fearful of dogs.

Ripley will also do well with respectful children.

Despite having no teeth, she is an enthusiastic eater enjoying both soft food and kibble and her coat is now showing her beautiful torti colours.

After a tough start, this grand old lady deserves a peaceful loving forever home for her senior years.

Slash – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Slash
DOB: 12/10/2015
Gender: Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Adoption Fee: $165
Location: North Lakes
Snuggle scope: Absolutely on his own terms
Cat scope: Single cat household
Dog scope: A little unpredictable, okay if the dog keeps their distance
Child scope: Will tolerate gentle children giving him pats
Medical Note: Slash came into care with a urinary blockage so severe he needed emergency surgery to save his life. Because of this, he now needs a special prescription diet for the rest of his life to prevent further blockages occurring.

About:

Slash (named for the famous guitarist) is a closet sweetheart.

Most interactions with Slash are on his terms, but when you get it right, he rewards you with a satisfied blink and even a brief purring – which is a cross between purring and grunting! He loves to sleep and has a few favourite spots. He is very diligent in using the scratching tower and has never damaged furniture. He is very good at using a closed litterbox and is not fussy about litter brand changes.

Slash is however fussy with food and is also on a special renal diet – he would refuse food repeatedly if he does not like the particular flavour, he loves dry food but is reluctant to drink water. It is important that extra liquid gets added to his wet food (bottled water as he seems to hate council water!)

Slash will need a lot of love and encouragement and tends to share his sweet side with one preferred person only, so if you are perhaps that special person that has heaps of patience and a lot of kitty love, Slash will eventually learn to adore you also.
