Autumn came into care with her brother and another kitten who had all been living rough. She was very underweight, with terrible cat flu so struggled to breathe and had such bad conjunctivitis that she had limited vision. As she wasn’t feeling well and had likely limited human contact, she was a little reserved and nervous initially.

After coming into care she received medical treatment, lots of love and good food and has never looked back. She has learnt that cuddles are really nice and now comes looking for them. Don’t let her serious (but beautiful) face fool you – she loves to chase her brother and other kitty friends and play with toys, especially balls. She also enjoys some downtime, following the sun as it shines through the window. When she first came into care she hadn’t likely experienced much, if any, human contact, so pats and cuddles made her a little nervous. But she has quickly learnt how nice they they are and will purr and roll around on your lap. There is a snuggle monster under that gorgeous coat!

Carter came into care after living rough. He had a case of cat flu and had such bad conjunctivitis, he couldn’t see at all. As a result, he was terrified of all of the scarey noises coming from things that he couldn’t see and would curl up, hide or attempt to run away, even though he couldn’t see where he was running.

His eyes improved quickly with treatment, but one of this third eyelids was fused to his cornea which indicates how long he had been sick. After surgery, it was amazing to see his beautiful big green eyes, but the changes in his confidence was even more incredible. He is now coming out to see his carer, accepting pats and even demanding them. He still gets nervous by noises or sudden movement and when that happens will find a nice safe spot to hide until he realises that he isn’t in danger and he will pop back out. With some patience and lover, he should continue to grow in confidence. Initially he didn’t play with any toys, even when other cats were, as he didn’t seem to know what they were, but since his surgery he has enjoyed following the other kittens and playing with whatever they are. He would benefit from having a furry friend to help him continue to grow his confidence and feel safe. The change in only a couple of months is amazing, and we can see what a beautiful companion this gorgeous man will grow up to be.

Delphine was surrendered to a local vet after having a suspected broken leg. Xrays showed that she had a small fracture to her back leg “her ankle”, and luckily didn’t need surgery, but was on crate rest for 4 weeks with a cast on while her foot healed. You was such a good girl while in the crate, but you could see she wanted out.

Her leg has healed beautifully, and once she was “released from her prison” she ran and ran and ran…

Delphine is a very confident, super affectionate little pocket rocket. She does take a little bit to get used to new cats in her environment, but she is happily living in a multi cat home and is doing fine. She is a busy little girl and loves to run and play (making up for her time in the cage no doubt). As soon as you pick her up she purrs away happily, and is happy to be picked up and cuddled.

She sleeps on the end of her carers bed, and sleeps through the night with no issues – she really is the perfect little princess.
