Medical Note – Gizmo has an innocent heart murmur, this is a benign murmur that is evident only when stressed or through high energy outputs. After a check in with our cardiologist they agree it is nothing that is expected to affect him in the future.

Gizmo came to care as a wee little baby and was hand raised by one of our neo nurses, he is the definition of relaxed fluffy, gentle, smooshy boy. He is great with other cats and has found a love for hanging out with humans first, then will hang with the cats. His beautiful soft coat is a dream, he has vwey similiar features to a ragdoll, with large ears and paws and an adorable deep meow. Gizmo loves a good night time play, chasing anything that will move, he has an almighty jump. His ideal bed time is snuggled upto whoever goes to bed first.

Gizmo is a water baby, he frequents the shower with his carers and enjoys the sprinkle of the shower head on light. Gizmo has what we call the racoon tail, it is large and fluffy has a mind of its own. This guy is just a dream and being hand raised with multiple kitties he ks fhe perfect addition to any family.

Kaira made her way into BFF care after she was found alone and handed into an emergency vet. It was immediately apparently that she had some eye issues happening, so she was quickly seen by the eye specialist at BVSC in Brisbane. Her left eye appears to be an empty socket with no eye ball visible, which is a birth defect. She has some discharge coming from the socket which is being caused by the eyelid rubbing on the inside of the socket. When she is big enough (2kg minimum) she will have surgery to clear out the eye and sew it shut. She appears to have perfect vision in her other eye.

Kaira was quite timid on arrival, and clearly hadn’t had a lot of human contact. While she is improving, she is still a little on the quiet side, but that just adds to her charm. She loves to be picked up and cuddled, but can still startle at sudden noises. She has joined another two kittens in her foster home, and they are teaching her how to play, and she’s become great friends with them.

Because Kaira needs to have surgery on her eye when she is 2kg, if her perfect home turns up before then we would look at a foster to adopt situation so she could go to her home but still have her medical needs seen to through BFF vets.

This sweet little girl has had a pretty awful start to life, and is looking for someone who will promise her a safe and happy future.

Hi my name is Rosalie and I’m just the sweetest cutest tabby kitten. I’m quite a petite kitty but don’t let that fool you, as during playtime I’m a mini pocket rocket.

I love playing with my foster brothers and sisters and even though they are bigger I still hold me own. I like to zoom around the house chasing everyone. I have even started entering the shower. I think it’s pretty cool and I’m unfased with the water splashing.

I’m quite petite and like to curl up under my carers chin or shoulder and be carried around like that. I have on numerous occasions fallen asleep in my carers arms and when it’s nap time that’s usually where I like to sleep.

I love my food alot and can sometime get my food growl on when someone thinks I’m going to share or if there is chicken. I also have learnt that I can scream at the top of my lungs when my carer is taking too long with my food.

I’m not afraid of anything and can make it to the top of the big cat tree with the others. I love chasing fluffy balls around the house as well.

This little girl is just the sweetest cuddliest little thing with a purr as loud as a engine. She deserves a home with a loving family who will cherish and love her.
