Jameson – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Jameson
DOB: 03/04/2024
Gender: Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Carina Heights
Snuggle scope: Loves cuddles when he’s not busy playing
Cat scope: OK with correct introduction
Dog scope: Untested but should be OK with correct introduction
Child scope: Good with calm, gentle children

About:

This little tux had such a tough start to life but you wouldn’t know it. He has personality plus and is loved by everyone that meets him.

Jameson came into care after living rough. He was very underweight, with terrible cat flu so struggled to breathe and had such bad conjunctivitis that he had no vision. He had likely never seen a human but this didn’t stop him from being a complete snuggle monster. It also didn’t stop him from climbing & exploring either, even though he was so sick and had absolutely no energy.

He had eye surgery to correct his third eyelid which was stuck to his cornea, reflecting how long he had been unwell. The surgery was thankfully successful, showing his beautiful cheeky eyes, although a little of this third eyelid is visible in the corner of his eyes. This doesn’t impact him and we think it just adds to his charm.

Jameson has grown into a very confident, cheeky kitten that loves to climb, play, and chase his siblings. He loves food and is the first one looking for food and often the last one eating, particularly if his siblings don’t eat all of their meal.

When he wants attention, he makes a cute ‘chirp’ and does love cuddles when there isn’t something more exciting to do like eat or play.

Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Browns Plains
Snuggle scope: loves a cuddle
Cat scope: gets on well with all
Dog scope: Not Tested

About:

Jemmy, another adorable kitty born in care.

Jemmy is just as cuddly and fun as Ruthie! She’s always up for a snuggle and loves being the center of attention.

But when it comes to playtime, Jemmy is all about chasing lasers and toys! It’s hilarious to watch her dart around, trying to catch those elusive beams and pouncing on his favorite toys. And you won’t believe it, but Jemmy is also quite the social butterfly. She loves hanging out with the big foster cats, learning from them, and even trying to keep up with their playful antics. Jemmy is such a bundle of joy and brings so much happiness to everyone around her

She is such an energetic little bundle of fur. She absolutely loves chasing after her sister and playing with her foster siblings. It’s like a non-stop game of tag around the house! Jemmy is a little acrobat. She’s always climbing, jumping from one surface to another with such grace and agility. It’s like she’s part kitten, part ninja! I’m always amazed at her adventurous spirit and her ability to turn any space into her own personal playground. Jemmy definitely knows how to keep things lively and entertaining!!

Location: Samford
Snuggle scope: smoochy on her terms

Child scope : children 12 plus

About:

Hi, my name is Jo Jo, although you may call me Princess Jo Jo, or your Majesty or simply call me YOURS!

I’m a little pocket rocket with a beautiful, affectionate nature. I’m looking for a human who can offer me my ‘forever’ castle.

I picture my ideal life as one where I’m loved unconditionally by my royal subjects, kept well fed and cared for, and if I’m being honest – a little daily pampering wouldn’t go astray. Follow my lead, I’ll show you ALL the right places to pat!

FYI…When I’m excited I give little love nibbles. It’s my way of showing how happy I am. Due to this, I’m best suited to older children only.

Another cat? Whilst I prefer human company to that of other felines, if you have a kitty already and you introduce us slowly (ask my current staff for advice on this), we may learn to share our throne.

I’m a pretty girl as you can see, I’m also sweet natured and outgoing. I’m the whole package you might say.

My staff will help you in making me a permanent member of your family all you need to do is click on the link below to arrange a meet and greet .

Joni – Female Siamese Cross

Adoption Profile:

Name: Joni
DOB : 13/10/20
Gender : Female
Breed: Siamese X DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Ferny Grove
Snuggle scope: NOPE – you can look but no touching till I know you well enough
Cat scope: loves other cats
Dog scope: untested
Child scope : Due to timid nature children 12 plus please

About:

Joni came into our care and a very scared little girl.

Unable to be touched, she found unique ways of hiding from her carer but would then sing sad songs throughout the night when she became lonely. Hence her name – her songs being reminiscent of the works of the great Joni Mitchell.

To this day, Joni very much encapsulates the ‘talkative’ nature of cats with similar breeding – greeting you will little chirps and songs about what’s happening.

Joni is still very much a scaredy cat, but has blossomed into a gorgeous and quirky young lady.

While she still doesn’t want to be picked up, she loves being patted (and will wait until you’re in the toilet as a captive audience).

She also has what can only be described as a foot fetish: no toes in bed are safe from Joni’s love.

We’re still working on getting Joni more used to affection, but we’re confident the right person is out there to accept her for the stunning little weirdo she is.

Katie – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Katie
DOB: 25/03/2020
Gender: Female
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Marsden
Snuggle scope: Likes to snuggle at bed time
Cat scope: Excellent after initial introductions – needs a feline friend
Dog scope: Not suitable
Child scope: Suited to a home with no children
Medical note: Katie has an allergic skin disease. She is allergic to some types of food. She has responded really well to her special diet and will need to be careful with what she eats for her whole life.

About:

Katie was adopted from BFF as a baby but was returned due to her suffering allergies.

She has had quite a bit of upheaval over the last 12mths which has caused her to be initially very shy and cautious of new people. Once trust had been established she is an extremely playful and outgoing young lady. Katie adores playtime and is happiest with playmates of similar size.

Katie has lived in multiple cat households and as a solo cat, and she is happier with feline company where she can go crazy in cat play and tumble. If Katie is left alone for long periods she can get lonely and as such finds herself getting into mischievous situations.

Katie loves her food, but most food does not agree with her, giving her skin allergies – we have been able to find a low preservative diet that agrees with her allergies diet that is not cost-prohibitive. However, her siblings’ food is most definitely off-limits.

Katie loves to sleep alongside foster mum every night, or in a spot of sunlight during the day. Katie can be very high energy, so playtime is a must for her to expend energy.

Katie has displayed reactions to most preventative flea treatments, but vet Dr Shane has advised she can live in a multi-cat household untreated if other cats/pets are medicated with flea prevention. Katie is untested with small children, however, Katie can get frustrated with unwanted attention, and as such small children environment would not be recommended. When Katie is stressed she will exhibit mild cat flu symptoms like sneezing and watery eyes, although fully vaccinated – this will be an ongoing condition for her.

Kayley – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Kayley
DOB: 25/07/23
Gender: Female
Breed: DMH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Fitzgibbon
Snuggle scope: Likes being patted
Cat scope: Adores other cats and likes to give them head bops and snuggles
Dog scope: Untested
Child scope: Untested

About:

Hi I’m Kayley, Miss Sweetheart Pretty Girl Fluffy Pants or that’s what my foster mumma calls me anyway. Seems like a bit of a mouthful but I secretly love it.

I may start out a little shy when we first meet but once I get to know you I’ll come running to greet you winding myself around your legs looking for love and pats. I like my feet firmly planted on the ground, I can keep myself entertained all day which is basically me sleeping the day away in between staring out the window at the trees blowing in the breeze, so I’m not the needy type, but I would like to be able to settle next to you on the couch or bed at night and hear all about your day.

If you have another chilled friendly feline furbaby in your home it might help me settle in but I’m quite happy with my own company too so it’s not a necessity.

I haven’t spent any time around young children and I think any high energy running little ones might be a bit too much for me but patient teenagers with love to give could really help me blossom and show you the magnificent introverted extrovert hiding inside me.

If you have the time and patience to help Kayley experience the warmth and security of a loving home, she’s sure to reward you with her affectionate nature and gradually reveal her true and endearing self.

Lara – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Lara
DOB: 24/01/2017
Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Cannon Hill
Snuggle scope: will tolerate being picked up for short amounts of time. Not a lap cat but will happily sleep at the head of your bed with you.
Cat scope: single cat household or quiet, submissive cat
Dog scope: unknown
Child scope: unknown but would be fine with quiet, gentle hands

About:

After spending 6 years locked in a cage, Lara has really come out of her shell since settling into foster care in 2023.

The first few months in care, Lara spent 99% of her time underneath the bed, only coming out for meals. Lara now has the run of the house and is usually waiting for me right by the door when I get home.

Her favourite part of the day is waking up in the mornings and getting lots of chin scratches in bed…she becomes the most purry kitty ever! Her second favourite parts are breakfast and dinner!

She can be playful at times and get the zoomies, but will happily spend the day snoozing (probably charging up for zoomies). She is very inquisitive and loves to explore! She tolerated previous foster cat Harry, and has more confidence with current foster, Ezra. He tries to be playful at times but she puts him in his place if she’s not in the mood.

This sweet girl will give you so much joy.

Snuggle scope: Likes a good snuggle

About:

Latte had a rough start and came into care a very scared little girl. She has however blossomed in foster care with love, affection and lots of yummy food and boy does she love her food!

Latte is affectionately known by her foster family as Miss Fatty, she is only a small cat her love of food has given her quite a plump behind.

Latte is quite a sassy girl, even though she is the smallest in the house, she will tactfully let her bigger brothers know if she has had enough of them with a quick bop.

Latte is very good with cat savvy children and loves her foster carers teenage daughter. She follows her around the house, sleeps with her and is always very close by no matter what she is doing. Latte is also happy to be picked up for a quick cuddle.

Due to her rough start, Latte will still startle easily when strangers come to the house or when there are loud noises but once she knows you she warms up quickly and will happily let you wait on her with a snack and pats.

Leila – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:
Name: Leila
DOB: 14/05/2020
Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Chermside
Snuggle Scope: Not a fan of being held, but can be picked up
Cat Scope: Prefer solo, or very relaxed cat who gives her space
Dog Scope: Fine with slow introduction
Child Scope: Untested, but older gentle children 10+

About:

My name is Leila. I am a people’s cat. I love to hang around you, I am super curious and playful. I would love a place on my own and have you all to myself.

I am chatty and I love to zoom past you, weaving in and out of your legs. I purr a lot, I am always happy to see you, running up to you to greet you as you enter the room. The thing is, I love belly rubs. I will flop to the floor and stretching out, inviting you for pats, chin scratches and belly rubs.

Although I am super friendly and crave attention, I am wary of newcomers/strangers and will run and hide herself away. But with the temptation of treats and a toy, it doesn’t take me long to come out and play.

Leila is a stunning black panther, and her coat is shiny and soft. She loves being brushed. She loves to play, and her antics continue to amuse her carer daily, and she enjoys living life to the fullest.

Leila also loves her food, and will head bop your hand and weave and brush up against you as if to say ‘hurry up I am starving’ if you are slow to put food into her bowl.

Leila loves to chase small soft balls, and will jump up and catch them, swat them around and could be the next Olympic Soccer Goalkeeper with her skills. Leila also loves to run back and forth through the tunnel, chasing the balls or anything else that is thrown through.

When it is time to rest, she would appreciate a well-placed cat tree or a windowsill/doorway where she can go and watch the world go by.

Lena – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Lena
DOB : 29/09/2022
Gender : Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee:$185
Location: Carindale
Snuggle scope: Lounge and lap cat
Cat scope: OK, would likely prefer to have your lap to herself
Dog scope: Good
Child scope: OK

About:

Lena is a gorgeous calico, a little bit cheeky, a little bit sassy, and all sweet.

Lena is a confident girl in her home and knows what she wants. She’s never far from the action and is always up for a sticky beak when visitors are over, though often prefers to relax and watch just to the side rather than be the center of attention of strangers.

Lena is often a quiet but insistent presence in her foster home, she might not MEOW in your face and demand cuddles, but she’ll quietly pop up beside you on the lounge, and give a little ‘tap tap’ to your arm asking you to make your lap available for her to slowly climb in and settle down to purr (and drool!) in happiness as she soaks up your warmth, I mean love.

Lena is a cat that knows what she likes and doesn’t like to be rushed or forced. She’ll voice her complaints when picked up and will often dart off if you try to hurry her progress into your lap by scooting her over – don’t worry, she’s usually back in less than 5 minutes to try and get into your lap again, this time by herself.

Lena is nearly always on her carer’s bed at night (and has even been known to snuggle under the blanket in winter) and happily shares it with a resident cat.

Though while she makes friends and loves playing and zooming about with her kitty friends, Lena usually needs a little time to warm up to new cats and likes her personal space respected.

She shows this clearly in her foster home when they have litters of foster kittens. When there aren’t kittens about, She’s much more prominent in asking for cuddles and joining her carers on the lounge.

However when foster kittens are about, as babies they often have little to no regard for personal space or respect for their seniors and tend to crowd and monopolise their carers lounge time. When this happens Lena feels crowded out and doesn’t compete for cuddles, however when she finds a kitten free spot with her carers she’s there for cuddles.

Lena loves her zoomies through the house, and is particularly small ball toys she can carry around and announce to the house at large to ‘look what i have!’.

Lena’s content to share space and the lounge with the resident large dog but steers clear of it when it’s boisterous. Lena’s met minimal children, but if they have gentle hands and respect her personal space when she wants she should be fine with children.

Please note: As all our cats live in foster homes, a completed Meet & Greet application is required before we can arrange a visit. Apply today – meet’n’greet form

Leo – Male DMH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Leo
DOB:  19/02/2020
Gender: Male
Breed: Domestic Medium Hair (please note: Leo had to be shaved when he arrived back into care due to severe matting)
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Kallangur
Snuggle scope: Loves to snuggle
Cat scope: Loves having cat friends!
Dog scope: Tolerates quiet dogs
Child scope: Not suitable for kids under 13 as he bites when playing
Medical Note: When Leo first arrived in care in 2021 his tail needed to be amputated due to a traumatic injury. It has healed wonderfully and hasn’t caused any further issues.

About:

Leo is such a loving snuggle puss with the cutest little bunny tail.

He is smoochy, inquisitive, sassy, outgoing – pretty much everything you could wish for in a cat.

Leo loves to play, but he is a rough player and will use his teeth when overstimulated so he’s not suitable for young children.

Leo would love a home with another cat friend that is just as rambunctious as he is.

Lorenzo and Luciano – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Lorenzo and Luciano
DOB : 15/5/20
Gender : Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Adoption Fee: $315
Location: Morayfield
Snuggle scope: Nope! On his terms, he may let you stroke him
Cat scope: LOVES other cats
Dog scope: Nope!
Child scope: Nope & a bit more nope!

About:

Are you a very special person? Could you adopt two brothers who may not ever have any appreciation of what you’ve done for them? If you have low expectations, please read on!

Lorenzo and Luciano (aka The Italian Boys) – these two boys are inseparable, let’s make that very clear. They came from a horrible place, so horrible that I won’t go into it much, but needless to say, it’s left them with a lot of ‘issues’.

Lorenzo copped the worst of the ongoing issues – he has awful lungs and if you’re brave enough to get close enough, terrible bad breath! The vets have said that his teeth are pretty good though, so he’s not needed any extractions. He had pneumonia when he was a baby, so his lungs are very scarred, but it doesn’t cause him any problems apart from snoring like an old man!

Lorenzo’s biggest problem is that his brain isn’t wired properly – he’s an ‘Ultra Scaredy’ scaredy cat. He’s not feral by any means – he acknowledges that you’re the food provider and will bunt your legs when you get the food out (& he does this quite hard so you need to have good bones!) and he will, very occasionally, forget that he doesn’t really like humans and come for a quick stroke.

There are some safe spaces in the house where Lorenzo will accept pats, but he will often change his mind on where the safe space is, so he keeps you on your toes!

Don’t let that put you off though – when he gets going with playing (which can be an effort), he’s incredibly funny as he’s a bit ‘unco’ too. He LOVES other cats and will do anything to get them to like him & he’s pretty persistent to say the least.

Going to the vets is generally more anxiety provoking for us than Lorenzo, but he tries to make out he has the harder time!

He loves his food, especially treats, so sometimes, you can bribe him, depending on his mood at the time.

Luciano has less issues than his bro, but he still has issues. His lungs are also scarred from pneumonia when he was a baby, but not as bad as Lorenzo’s, which means his snoring isn’t quite as bad! Thankfully, he doesn’t have bad breath!

Luciano also isn’t wired very well in his brain, but he is a lot more affectionate than Lorenzo. Lucci will actively seek out his humans for smooches at any time of the day and in any place in the house. Much like you should never get a Mogwai wet, you should never try to pick Lucci up for a cuddle – it won’t be pretty!

Luciano is more outgoing and loves to play. He does love other cats, but he can tend to be a bit dominant and his attempts to play can be seen as a bit too full on by some cats (ask my girls & they’ll tell you!). He and Renzo playfight a lot and Renzo is good at telling him when to stop.

Luciano is a big foodie, more so than his bro. He has a high pitched squeaky voice when he talks which doesn’t match his large stature. He talks lots when there’s yummy food around, his fave being roast chicken.

The boys have been with us for 3 years (we specialise in scaredy cats). We love them dearly, but it’s clear they won’t make much more progress with us. In a new environment, sometimes these very scaredy cats can make real progress – we’ve seen that time and time again.

About:

Marley and you?

This little lady, like her musical namesake is one pretty cool cat. She loves spending her days chilling out, looking out windows, watching the world go by.

She likes meeting new people and sidles up quickly for one of her favourite things in the world, a head scratch. In the evenings her favourite spots are by her human on the lounge or curled up at the end of the bed. Marley hasn’t shown much interest in laps, but with summer coming, who needs a lap warmer anyway. She does though love being nearby and will reward you with the sweetest little meow, or a lovely loud purr.

Marley is learning the wonders of play and has quite a workout chasing toys on sticks. She’ll often roll over to show her beautiful belly, but don’t fall into the trap of thinking she wants a belly rub, it’s her favourite game, grabbing any unsuspecting hand (gently of course).

Marley is an undemanding, sweet, relaxed girl who is responding very well to care. She will no doubt continue to blossom when she finds her forever people to show her the love that was missing from her last home.

Matilda – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Matilda
DOB: 04/11/2020
Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Wavell Heights
Snuggle scope: Independent
Cat scope: Gets along great with her siblings
Dog scope: Untested
Child scope: Untested
Medical Notes: Matilda has nutrient malabsorption, which affects her skin and coat condition. Thankfully, under the guidance of a dermatologist specialist, her prescription diet has worked wonders for her health. She’s likely to remain on this diet for life, but it hasn’t dampened her spirit one bit. This unique girl is thriving and full of personality, making adorable chirpy demands for love one moment and enjoying quiet time the next.

About:

Meet Matilda – The Enigmatic Queen of the Cat Kingdom

Matilda is a striking black beauty with an air of mystery and elegance, as if she’s just stepped out of an ancient Egyptian mural. But don’t let her regal exterior fool you—Matilda is a quirky girl with a sweet side that shines brightly once she feels comfortable.

This independent lady loves affection on her own terms. She can be quite demanding for head scratches and head rubs, chirping adorably to get your attention. While she has her bold moments, she can also be a bit of a scaredy-cat, preferring to retreat from strangers and unfamiliar situations.

Matilda’s ideal environment is a quiet and calm home, as she doesn’t particularly enjoy the hustle and bustle of younger cats. She’s more of a “tolerates” than “thrives with” other cats, though she gets along well with older, laid-back feline companions who respect her space.

The Perfect Home for Matilda

Matilda would love a peaceful, low-key home with a patient family who understands her quirks and will let her warm up at her own pace. She’d thrive with quiet humans and perhaps an older, calm feline friend to share her space with—no rambunctious young cats, please!

If you’re looking for a loving, independent, and occasionally cheeky companion who will add a touch of elegance and charm to your home, Matilda is the one for you.

Matthias – Male DMH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Matthias
DOB: 10/11/23
Gender: Male
Breed: DMH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Carina Heights
Snuggle scope: Affectionate but not super cuddly – loves to be near you on the couch
Cat scope: Good
Dog scope: Untested but should be OK with slow introductions
Child scope: Good with gentle hands
MEDICAL NOTE: Matthias has epilepsy but his seizures are managed by medication. At his annual vet check he requires a blood test of his medication levels to check that it is stable. After his adult teeth appeared he has had juvenile gingivitis, which most cats grow out of by the age of two but in the meantime is managed with an oral gel.

About:

Matthias is a handsome tuxedo with the cutest face and huge green eyes.

He likes to rub against your leg for attention or food and perch near your shoulder on the couch.

He accepts pats and being picked up and carried around but then gets a bit wriggley and wants to get back to perching on his cat bed/post.

He is confident and independent and sometimes likes to chase, play with or snuggle other cats but other times likes to hang on his own.

Matthias came into care as a skinny, sick, flea-ridden kitten after living rough with his brother who was much bigger than him. He has come such a long way and after a difficult start to life deserves a safe, loving forever home.

When he was 6 months old, he had a seizure and was diagnosed with epilepsy. He accepts one tablet in food and the other with a creamy treat. He is quite easy to tablet and while he’d prefer not to have them, he will come looking for you as soon as you open the fridge, hoping that you’re getting his creamy treat ready. It’s important that he receives his medication to ensure that his seizures are controlled, so needs a foster person/family who is committed to doing that.

Mavric – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Mavric
DOB: 21/12/23
Gender: Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $185
Location: Southport
Snuggle scope: Loves being patted and will purr loudly but does not really like being picked up
Cat scope: Totally fine
Dog scope: Untested
Child scope: Untested but should be fine with gentle hands

About:

Mavric is an absolute goofball!

His interests include hunting for cat toys, sitting in the sink, sitting at the absolute top of the cat tree and swiping (paws no claws) at anyone that walks past and being first in line for food.

He is so cute too with big ears and has the most beautiful colouring.

He’s decided humans are the best thing and will demand pats and attention from his foster family and any guests they bring into the house. He also thinks the family’s dog is his best friend and likes to give him head boops and play with him whenever the two of them are in the mood.

He thinks everyone (cat, dog, person) is there to be his friend and is regularly caught giving head boops to the resident cat, dog, guests and any other fosters who enter his foster home.

He loves to play with his toys, he is having the best time learning about the world and how much fun it all is!
