About:

Alice is a delightful solid white Manx cat. She’s a friendly girl that enjoys human company. She will follow you around the house and likes to keep an eye on what you’re doing. She LOVES food and if you have a yummy treat she will be your best friend.

While she’s not a lap cat, she will happily hang out beside you and does enjoy a good pat. She’s not fussed on being held and will complain a bit if you pick her up but is happy to love you and be fussed over on her own terms.

Alice is very fussy with her litter tray, she likes to have at least 2 for her exclusive use and they do need to be cleaned daily, but as long as her litter trays are tended regularly she’s very good with her toileting.

Boo – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:
Name: Boo
DOB :9/10/16
Gender : female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $149
Location: Boronia Heights
Snuggle scope: cuddly and affectionate
Cat scope: friendly with other cats
Dog scope: good with dogs
Child scope : untested but should be fine.
Vet work: completed
Booster Due: 21/01/2021

Medical Note: Boo has some narrowing of her inter-vertebral disc spaces at T10-12, she is still super sweet and bright but much happier with a monthly pain relief injection which keep her comfortable and pain free. She will need to have these injections for the rest of her life.

About:

Boo found herself homeless after her mum ended up in palliative care so she became part of the BFF family .

Arriving into care she was friendly and confident and you could see by her smoochy interactions with humans she had just met, that she was a very loved kitty by her owner as she is incredibly social.

Boo is a chatty young lady and loves a good conversation with you so we had a talk about the fact she was a black cat and they are harder to adopt out due to the old age superstition but we assured her she was loved and safe until her forever home came along. Boo settled straight into care with her carers own two cats and loves to play with them.

Boo lives in a home where her carers elderly parents have moved in and if you are ever looking for Boo you will always find her with them, she seems to gravitate to older people and is content to just be with them but is at her happiest curled up asleep on their laps.

If you can see past the colour of her fur and see her for the beautiful friendly smoochy butt she is you won’t be disappointed.

In fact she used the opportunity to charm the vet and greet everyone with a chirp and demanding pats.
Caroline entered care with her daughter Carly and 9 kittens between them. It’s now her time to shine and find her forever family to adore and pamper her. They will be rewarded with infinite purrs, nose bobs cuddles.
Caroline is fastidiously clean and great at using her litter tray. She isn’t the least bit fussy with her food, and boy is she going through a lot of it at the moment. She is still a touch under weight after weaning her babies but lots of high premium food is seeing her weight and condition improve daily.

Crystal – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Age: 19/11/14
Sex: Female
Breed: Domestic short hair
Adoption fee: $149
Location: Spring Hill
Snuggle scope: Likes scratches and pick-ups, but not a lap cat.

Crystal and her brother Micah came into care very timid and wary of humans , however, both have made incredible progress. Crystal is a very curious cat, and is always interested in what you’re doing. She is a real copy cat, and likes to follow her foster siblings around to see what they’re up to. This has helped her become more social, to the point where she is much more tolerant of being picked up and cuddled. She likes to climb and play, and often raises up to sit on her hind legs when she’s hoping for dinner, which means she’s the kind of cat who could probably be taught tricks by an owner who has boundless love and patience.

Dahlia – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:
Name: Dahlia
DOB: 10/08/2014
Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption fee: $149
Location: Strathpine
Snuggle scope: Will be a lap cat eventually but needs time to get to know you first.
Cat scope: Solo Diva
Dog scope: No
Child scope: No
Vet work: Completed
Annual booster due: 04/09/2020

About:

Meow! Hello! I am Dahlia. Don’t I have the most beautiful eyes? I am as unique as the flower I’m named for. I haven’t had the happiest of lives so I’m looking for someone extra special, and a bit cat savvy, that can help me with my needs and offer me the lifestyle I’ve been missing.

I do love to be the center of attention and I love treats so my Forever Home must adorn me with plenty of both. I do become a little overwhelmed at times though so I need someone extra clever that will recognize when I’ve had enough.

I need to be the only baby in your life (this includes two-legged babies as well!) Once I have bonded with my human they become mine and only mine, and I’m not very good at sharing.

I am still learning that there’s plenty of food to go around and I can get a little aggressive at meal times. It will be best if you save the pats until after I’ve finished my dinner in case I forget my manners.

I do love being patted though and I will follow you around demanding all the head scritches, but please don’t try and cuddle me as I will become frightened. Let me come to you on my own terms and I will have lots of love to give.

Because I do forget my manners from time to time, I’m not very well suited to a home with children or other animals, I need you all to myself.

If you are loving and patient and kind, I will eventually become a lap cat but I need someone extra special that will understand that I’ll need lots of time to get there.

It’s also very important that I remain an inside-only kitty for the rest of my life! If I am allowed outside, I may forget all the good manners I have learned and I may not come home again. I am much safer and happier staying inside!

I know I have a lot of special needs, but if you’re one of those extra special wonderful cat savvy people that can give me the home I’ve been dreaming of my whole life, please let us know!

Elise – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:
Name: Elise
DOB: 01/01/2014
Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $149
Location: Ferny Grove
Snuggle scope: Elise until recently was very defensive and not very cuddly at all. However, she has started to show signs that she’s a real cuddle monster. Watch this space. Bring snacks.
Cat scope: gets along with her foster brothers and sisters
Dog scope: untested
Child scope: untested but think Elise would prefer bigger hoomins as she’s only just got used to them.
Vet work: complete.
Booster due 10/6/21

About:

Elise came into care through the head of our rescue many years ago, and has spent time with several of our wonderful foster carers since then.

Being a ‘free spirit’ Elise was not used to hoomins and didn’t take too well to them.

After years of careful care and love [and a lot of patience], Elise is finally happy to be loved by hoomins [although a little shy at first].

She still has a long way to go, but with the right home, we’re positive Elise will make a wonderful companion.

DOB : 01/10/2017
Gender : Female
Breed: DMH
Adoption Fee: $149
Location: Oxley
Snuggle scope: Loves pats and affection
Cat scope: Solo diva
Dog scope: Untested
Child scope : Great with gentle children
Vet work: Complete
Date expected to Leave Care: Ready to leave now

About:

Elle came into care heavily pregnant, and after several weeks of making us wait, gave birth to 3 beautiful babies.
But now it is Elle’s time to shine. She is the most adorable girl, and loves being around people. She is not one for being picked up and carried but if she has a spot that is very close to you – she settles, relaxes and falls asleep. But watch if you move as she will be quick to steal your spot!!
Elle has been around children and simply adores them and is super gentle. She will often just sit by them leaning in for a pat, or leaning over with a gentle head bop and purring her heart away.
She has been around other cats and prior to giving birth wasn’t fazed by them, however on arrival of her babies was a normal protective mumma and didn’t want a lot to do with them.

Esmae – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:
Name: Esmae
DOB: 22/12/17
Sex: Female
Breed: Tortoiseshell DSH

About:

Do you live a quiet lifestyle, and are you looking for a lovely calm companion? Then look no further- Esmae’s your girl! Esmae has grown up in care with BFF, and at just over 3 years old, her kitten antics have now settled down… while she’s still up for a game if you are, she’s equally as happy to curl up next to you on the couch, or take a nap in the sun by the windows.
Esmae doesn’t mind the company of other cats, and she’s happy enough to live alongside little, quiet dogs. Having said that, she’d likely be just as happy to be your one and only pet… that way all the treats and all the pats will be just for her!!!
Esmae is a striking lady with some quirky traits – like licking your toes to tell you she’s hungry, or flopping quite dramatically onto her back to demand head scratches! She is a sweet cat, who has had to work very hard to trust humans – Esmae is still very shy when meeting people for the first time. It takes time for Esmae to build relationships with her people. But once she comes out of her shell, she’s a charming, relaxed companion.
Are you the special someone with the time and patience to give this lovely girl a beautiful life?

Location: Yandina
Snuggle scope: Does not like to be picked up but is learning pats are OK

Hazel – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:
Name: Hazel
DOB: 10 October 2015
Sex: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption fee: $149
Location: Spring Hill
Snuggle scope: Cuddly
Cat scope: Wary of bigger cats and will growl
Dog scope: Untested, but probably wary
Child scope: Untested but would be fine
Vet work: Completed
Annual booster due: 3/4/21

About:

Sweetpea. Chumbly-bum. Sugarsnap. Crazy Hazy.
You want nicknames? Hazel inspires them all.
This gorgeous cinnamon tabby girl is an absolute delight, and will make her future owner a beautiful, adventurous and funny pet.
She is on the smaller side for an adult cat, but has the most scrumptiously plump belly, and is still very kittenish in nature – bouncy, fearless and inquisitive.
Hazel was rescued from death row at the Warwick pound around Christmas 2015, and has lived with her foster carer ever since. Her brother Harry got adopted in late 2016, but she lives in relative harmony with her other foster siblings Crystal, Micah and Tyson.
Hazel would adapt well to a household with other cats as she loves to chase, run, jump and play, but may need some time and patience to adjust. She eats well and uses her litter perfectly, and loves to clamber up scratching poles or up onto high places.
Hazel is not a lap cat, and doesn’t like to be picked up for too long – she’s too busy exploring. However, she loves to sleep on your bed with you, and loves your attention during play time. She goes absolutely nuts over dangling bird toys – she will pursue them until she pants! If you are adopting her as a solo cat, you will need to spend good quality interactive time with her.
Crazy Hazy has been an indoor cat her whole life, and as she has a strong chase drive, needs to be kept indoors to avoid running off and following external distractions. She is untested with dogs, but may learn to live with them given careful introduction.
Note: Hazel’s future forever owner must be willing to stay in contact with her foster carer Natalie, who has a big place in her heart for this funny little girl, and will want to see photos of her flourishing in her new home.

Adoption Fee: $149

Child scope : Is fine with older kids (tested with kids 9+) needs to be around kids that can understand when she needs her own space.

Date expected to Leave Care: Available now
Booster Due: 1/3/21

indigo is a natural motherly type, she likes to love and bathe those around her, occasionally getting carried away with the grooming and will “chew” on you. This is easily stopped with a reminder of “be gentle” and she stops straight away. Indigo is easily startled, loud noises scare her, however with time she does get used to certain noises. Indigo takes time to get used to new people, with some patience she will be the best friend you have always wanted. She has so much love to give, she just needs someone to show her a little bit of love and patience.

Jax is a true little gentleman, who will escort you room to room to make sure you’re safe. He enjoys long pats and having his stunning coat brushed, to look good for you. He loves nothing better than to sit with you on the lounge while you’re watching movies, if to do nothing but hold your hand. As a typical male the way to Jax’s heart is through his belly. The only thing in return that this chilled out gentleman will ask of you, is that he is the only feline in your life.

About:

Jemima is a timid cat with so much love to give to a patient and loving adopter.
While initially very standoffish and frightened, with time and patience Jemima’s true colours show that she is a through and through sook who adores attention! She is a very tidy girl, and she loves to either spend time on the sofa right next to you, or snooze under the coffee table while she waits for you to come home.
Jemima’s favourite parts of the day are when you get home from work, dish out her breakfast or dinner, and when you sit down to read or watch Netflix. She will show her enthusiasm for these activities with the cutest kitten meow and a happy question mark tail. Once you have Jemima’s trust, it is purr central and is the most rewarding sound in the world.
Jemima has come a very long way since coming into foster care, but she needs a cat-savvy home where she can have the space and love she needs to grow. She is still easily startled and as such is not suitable for a home with young children. She is used to having other cats around to bolster her confidence and her ideal home will have 1-2 other calm adult cats who are happy to share space but stay out of her face.
Winning Jemima’s love means winning a companion for life who will always look to you with big loving eyes and a giant purr to make the day’s troubles melt away.

Kenna has the softest, silkiest, shiny black fur. She loves exploring and naps in the sun. Expect her to follow you around and weave through your feet. She loves playing with string and lots of pats.
She would do well with other cats or on her own. She is learning to enjoy being picked up and is slowly coming around to sitting next to you on the couch, next stop your lap!
