About:

Alice is a delightful solid white Manx cat. She’s a friendly girl that enjoys human company. She will follow you around the house and likes to keep an eye on what you’re doing. She LOVES food and if you have a yummy treat she will be your best friend.

While she’s not a lap cat, she will happily hang out beside you and does enjoy a good pat. She’s not fussed on being held and will complain a bit if you pick her up but is happy to love you and be fussed over on her own terms.

Alice is very fussy with her litter tray, she likes to have at least 2 for her exclusive use and they do need to be cleaned daily, but as long as her litter trays are tended regularly she’s very good with her toileting.

Child scope: Caroline still plays like a kitten and is frisky in nature ,when hyper she can get a little mouthy and swipey so best suited to older children but in saying that she loves playing with kids and is fine with them , she just needs children that watch for the hyper to set in and know when to walk away from her .
Vetwork: completed
Booster due: 09/03/22

About:

Caroline is the matriarch of the blended family , she arrived into care with her teen daughter and 9 kittens between them .
Caroline is a gorgeous little lady who will greet you at the door when you come home , she will follow you around the house and walk across the keyboard while you are trying to work just to get an extra pat or two from you .
Caroline is super chatty and loves a good old conversation with you and will keep you with infinite purrs, nose bobs cuddles.
In saying that Caroline ,while affectionate and loving , has a playful and often naughty streak in her and when hyped up or in a mood she can swipe out with her paw and she will also give you love bites , she has never drawn blood but it can be startling if you are not aware of this behaviour .
Caroline is currently staying at a cattery until we can find a foster carer or forever home for her and is free roaming with a few other cats and not phased by them so long as they stay in her personal space , she greets everyone that comes into the cattery wanting pats and chirrups at them as a hello.
Caroline can often been found chasing balls and toys around the cattery corridors as still such a kitten at heart , she will endlessly play with a toy on a rope !
Caroline is a lovely cat and will charm the pants off you soon as you meet her and so long as someone is prepared to deal with her friskiness when she gets in that swipey / bitey mode she will be your lap cat each night keeping you warm and cosy .

Cleo – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Cleo
DOB: 28/06/19
Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $159
Location: Bonogin, Gold Coast
Snuggle scope: Cleo loves her humans, and loves pats
Cat scope: Cleo is what we call “cat tolerant”. She will co-exist with other felines if they are non-dominant and give her space, but she would be perfectly happy being the solo princess in your home.
Dog scope: Unphased by the small dog in her foster home
Child scope: Would be fine with respectful children
Vet work: Complete
Annual booster due: 20/01/2022
Medical note: Cleo suffers allergies from fleas and plastic. To keep her happy and healthy she needs to be kept up to date with flea treatment, and she needs her food served in non-plastic bowls (either glass or stainless steel)About:

Cleo came into care late last year with 5 small babies. She was desperately underweight from giving everything she had to her gorgeous babies. Her babies have now been adopted, and for the last couple of months Cleo has been focusing on herself and has now gained a decent amount of weight, and her coat is starting to look amazing!!
Cleo is listed as a domestic short-haired, however as she gained condition from good quality food, she is starting to “fluff” out, and it’s quite clear she’s going to be a fluffy girl.
This little lady has the sweetest nature and loves her people and the pats she receives from them. When you approach her and bend down to pat her, she jumps up onto her hind leads to smoosh her head into your hand – it’s guaranteed to melt your heart. She also would be more than happy to share the bed with her human.
Cleo is currently living in a multi-cat household and is coping OK. She is what we call “cat tolerant” – she will “tolerate” other cats if they stay out of her bubble, but does need her own space. If other cats do get in her face she won’t get aggressive, she will just give a hiss and a little wack to tell them to respect her bubble. Her ideal home would be as the only feline in the home, or with 1 other cat who will respect her personal space.

Crystal – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:
Name: Crystal
Age: 19/11/14
Sex: Female
Breed: Domestic short hair
Adoption fee: $159
Location: Spring Hill
Snuggle scope: Likes scratches and pick-ups, but not a lap cat.
Cat scope: Very curious about other cats, often copying their behaviour. Generally tolerant with the odd spat.
Dog scope: Untested, but would probably be cautious around them.
Kid scope: Untested, but would probably better suit older kids.
Vet work: Completed
Annual booster due – 1/4/21

About:
Crystal and her brother Micah came into care very timid and wary of humans , however, both have made incredible progress. Crystal is a very curious cat, and is always interested in what you’re doing. She is a real copy cat, and likes to follow her foster siblings around to see what they’re up to. This has helped her become more social, to the point where she is much more tolerant of being picked up and cuddled. She likes to climb and play, and often raises up to sit on her hind legs when she’s hoping for dinner, which means she’s the kind of cat who could probably be taught tricks by an owner who has boundless love and patience.

Dahlia – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:
Name: Dahlia
DOB: 10/08/2014
Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption fee: $159
Location: Bowen Hills
Snuggle scope: Will be a lap cat eventually but needs time to get to know you first.
Cat scope: Solo Diva
Dog scope: No
Child scope: No
Vet work: Completed
Annual booster due: 04/09/2020

About:

Meow! Hello! I am Dahlia. Don’t I have the most beautiful eyes? I am as unique as the flower I’m named for. I haven’t had the happiest of lives so I’m looking for someone extra special, and a bit cat savvy, that can help me with my needs and offer me the lifestyle I’ve been missing.

I do love to be the center of attention and I love treats so my Forever Home must adorn me with plenty of both. I do become a little overwhelmed at times though so I need someone extra clever that will recognize when I’ve had enough.

I need to be the only baby in your life (this includes two-legged babies as well!) Once I have bonded with my human they become mine and only mine, and I’m not very good at sharing.

I am still learning that there’s plenty of food to go around and I can get a little aggressive at meal times. It will be best if you save the pats until after I’ve finished my dinner in case I forget my manners.

I do love being patted though and I will follow you around demanding all the head scritches, but please don’t try and cuddle me as I will become frightened. Let me come to you on my own terms and I will have lots of love to give.

Because I do forget my manners from time to time, I’m not very well suited to a home with children or other animals, I need you all to myself.

If you are loving and patient and kind, I will eventually become a lap cat but I need someone extra special that will understand that I’ll need lots of time to get there.

It’s also very important that I remain an inside-only kitty for the rest of my life! If I am allowed outside, I may forget all the good manners I have learned and I may not come home again. I am much safer and happier staying inside!

I know I have a lot of special needs, but if you’re one of those extra special wonderful cat savvy people that can give me the home I’ve been dreaming of my whole life, please let us know!

Edgar – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: EDGAR
DOB: 10/03/2020
Gender: Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $159
Location: Strathpine
Snuggle cope: This boy loves attention – now likes being picked up too
Cat scope: Has always been with other cats, but can try to dominate
Dog scope: Not tested
Child scope: Not tested, so only suitable with older children (12+)
Vet work: Completed
Date expected to leave care: Now
Booster due: Aug 2021
Medical note: Edgar has a sensitive respiratory system and will need to be adopted into a smoke free home ONLY

About:

‘Calling all the single laydee’s’……I’m a bit of a mummy’s boy nowadays & I’d make a great companion for a mature lady who can ‘gimme all your lovin’ for ever & ever! I can be a bit of a pain and get under people’s feet at times, so you need to have good balance around me.
Okay, Edgar, foster mum’s turn now…..Edgar came to BFF as a seriously scaredy cat from a farm – he would literally shake when you picked him up, but with lots of time, patience and roast chook (this boy LOVES his food), he has now become a real smoocher. Edgar has always lived around other kitties, so we don’t know how he’d go as a solo kitty, but the likelihood is that if he’s getting ALL the attention, he’d be fine. He can be a bit naughty with his older brothers and sisters as he wants to play all the time when they don’t, but he loves playing with his younger brothers (one of whom is also available to be adopted).
When he’s not playing, he loves cuddling or eating – a new mother would need to make sure he doesn’t eat too much though as his tummy is getting a bit large!
It would probably take a little while for Edgar to settle down in a new home, but with patience, he would do so and become an incredibly loyal companion kitty.

Eleni- Female Burmese X

Adoption Profile:

Name: Eleni
DOB : 30/4/2019
Gender : Female
Breed: Burmese X
Adoption Fee: $159
Location: Carindale
Snuggle scope: loves cuddles with a loud purr
Cat scope: untested
Dog scope: untested
Child scope : untested
Vet work: 1st vac 14/5/21
Date expected to Leave Care: mid-June
Booster Due : 14/6/21

About:

Eleni came into care with her 4 little sons very scared. But thankfully it only took her a few days to realize that she was safe and people weren’t that scary and now she loves to show off her loud Purr to ask for cuddles nearly as soon as she sees her people. A week after coming into care Eleni showed how much love she has to give by accepting a little orphan kitten that was only a week older than her own, and since then she has had 5 little sons she dotes on. But they’re all growing up now, and while she still loves her sons and indulges them with snuggles and first pick of the food bowls, it’s time for Eleni to look after herself more and find her own home that will give her all the love she deserves. She hasn’t shown much interest in toys yet, but she’s still young and may enjoy playing more after she finishes her motherly duties and focuses on herself. Due to her shy start, she may be a little nervous around strangers at first, and may need a little patience when she first settles into a new home, but Eleni is sure to pay you back with heaps of love.

Elise – Female DSH

Adoption Profile:
Name: Elise
DOB: 01/01/2014
Gender: Female
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $159
Location: Ferny Grove
Snuggle scope: Elise until recently was very defensive and not very cuddly at all. However, she has started to show signs that she’s a real cuddle monster. Watch this space. Bring snacks.
Cat scope: gets along with her foster brothers and sisters
Dog scope: untested
Child scope: untested but think Elise would prefer bigger hoomins as she’s only just got used to them.
Vet work: complete.
Booster due 10/6/21

About:

Elise came into care through the head of our rescue many years ago, and has spent time with several of our wonderful foster carers since then.

Being a ‘free spirit’ Elise was not used to hoomins and didn’t take too well to them.

After years of careful care and love [and a lot of patience], Elise is finally happy to be loved by hoomins [although a little shy at first].

She still has a long way to go, but with the right home, we’re positive Elise will make a wonderful companion.

Enoki – Male DSH

Adoption Profile:

Name: Enoki
DOB: 19/05/2020
Gender: Male
Breed: DSH
Adoption Fee: $159
Location: West Chermside
Snuggle Scope: Enjoys head and body scratches
Cat Scope: Friendly with all cats after careful introduction
Dog Scope: Untested
Child Scope: Untested, would be fine with gentle hands
Vet Work: Complete
Booster due 28/10

About:

Enoki is a beautiful sleek and lanky panther from our Mushroom litter, which came to BFF very afraid of humans. Enoki has gained a few nicknames, “King Grumpy Face”, “Grumps” and “Spike” (from Buffy) due to his permanent frowny eyebrows and flat ears when he is displeased.
In reality though, Enoki is an incredibly sweet and loving boy, who didn’t take very long to realise humans can be full of love and cuddles. He purr purrs away when he gets head and body scratches and will lick at your legs whenever he gets the chance. He has even begun to accept being picked up and held gently.
Enoki really adores his feline companions and will thrive in a home with kitty siblings, after careful introductions. He can play a little rough, but loves it when another cats meet his match. He enjoys toys, but there is no comparison to a play mate to wrestle and then lay on top of (literally) for snuggles.

About:

Errol was named after the dashing and handsome movie star – Errol Flynn and boy does he live up to that name! This striking boy has beautiful blue eyes and unique markings on his fur. This gorgeous boy loves food. His two favourite things are dinner and second dinner. He is a big boy (with no neck) but he is a gentle boy.
Errol has been in care for some time as he is a shy boy, but he loves his foster carer and will sleep on her bed everyday and insist on snuggles in the morning! His perfect family will have the patience to give him time to get comfortable, but once he is comfortable he will be sitting on your lap, sleeping on your bed and following you around looking for attention.

About:

Do you live a quiet lifestyle, and are you looking for a lovely calm companion? Then look no further- Esmae’s your girl! Esmae has grown up in care with BFF, and at just over 3 years old, her kitten antics have now settled down… while she’s still up for a game if you are, she’s equally as happy to curl up next to you on the couch, or take a nap in the sun by the windows.
Esmae doesn’t mind the company of other cats, and she’s happy enough to live alongside little, quiet dogs. Having said that, she’d likely be just as happy to be your one and only pet… that way all the treats and all the pats will be just for her!!!
Esmae is a striking lady with some quirky traits – like licking your toes to tell you she’s hungry, or flopping quite dramatically onto her back to demand head scratches! She is a sweet cat, who has had to work very hard to trust humans – Esmae is still very shy when meeting people for the first time. It takes time for Esmae to build relationships with her people. But once she comes out of her shell, she’s a charming, relaxed companion.

Gloria came into care from a hoarding situation with multiple other cats and had sadly had minimal socialisation with humans. When she first arrived into care she was heavily pregnant and very distrusting of humans. Gloria is still timid, and needs time and space to settle, and would suit a person home a lot to be able to put the work into making her comfortable with humans and her surroundings.
Gloria is curious about what you are doing and will sit and watch you. When she trusts you she comes for a pat and will sit near you. She has a few quirks which are easy to deal with. Given time and space to settle she will be a great companion for someone.

Haylo is a beautiful girl who is initially a little unsure of new people, but soon warms up to strangers and will show them how sweet and loving she is with a head bop and hearty purr.
Haylo is enjoying being a kitten again after being a mother at such a tender age, and it’s no uncommon to see her tearing around the house with toys in her mouth which is just delightful to watch!
This little lady is and absolute sweetheart and would be a wonderful addition to most homes.

About:

Sweetpea. Chumbly-bum. Sugarsnap. Crazy Hazy.
You want nicknames? Hazel inspires them all.
This gorgeous cinnamon tabby girl is an absolute delight, and will make her future owner a beautiful, adventurous and funny pet.
She is on the smaller side for an adult cat, but has the most scrumptiously plump belly, and is still very kittenish in nature – bouncy, fearless and inquisitive.
Hazel was rescued from death row at the Warwick pound around Christmas 2015, and has lived with her foster carer ever since. Her brother Harry got adopted in late 2016, but she lives in relative harmony with her other foster siblings Crystal, Micah and Tyson.
Hazel would adapt well to a household with other cats as she loves to chase, run, jump and play, but may need some time and patience to adjust. She eats well and uses her litter perfectly, and loves to clamber up scratching poles or up onto high places.
Hazel is not a lap cat, and doesn’t like to be picked up for too long – she’s too busy exploring. However, she loves to sleep on your bed with you, and loves your attention during play time. She goes absolutely nuts over dangling bird toys – she will pursue them until she pants! If you are adopting her as a solo cat, you will need to spend good quality interactive time with her.
Crazy Hazy has been an indoor cat her whole life, and as she has a strong chase drive, needs to be kept indoors to avoid running off and following external distractions. She is untested with dogs, but may learn to live with them given careful introduction.
Note: Hazel’s future forever owner must be willing to stay in contact with her foster carer Natalie, who has a big place in her heart for this funny little girl, and will want to see photos of her flourishing in her new home.
